Car Battery Delivery & Installation FAQs

Q. How Fast Can You Deliver And Install The Battery? A. After receiving all the necessary information, we can be at your location typically within the next 60-90 minutes after the call.

Q. What Type Of Batteries Do You Use? A. We often use Super Start, Duralast and Diehard car batteries for our mobile battery service. We sometimes use Exide brand which may be a cheaper option.

Q. My Car Won't Start A Couple Months After You Guys Installed A Battery In My Vehicle. What Do I Do? A. Sometimes car batteries can fail due to many different factors such as leaving headlights on overnight, failing alternator, electrical issues, failing auxiliary battery or simply a defective battery we installed unintentionally. Whatever the case may be, the battery we installed is covered under a one time free replacement. There is no fee for the battery itself but we do have a service charge for coming out and providing the labor. The service charge is typically 1/3 of the cost of the initial battery replacement we provided.

Q. My Car Battery Died, It's Still Under Warranty, And I Need It Replaced, What Do I Do? A. Call us back anytime to schedule a battery replacement during the hours of 8AM to 8PM Monday through Sunday. If the battery is still covered under warranty we can replace it for you after providing us with all the information we need to confirm the status of the warranty. The same service charge applies as mentioned above of 1/3 of the initial cost of the battery replacement. For example if you initially paid $350 for the service, we don't charge for the battery itself but have a labor fee of $116.

Q. How Long Do Car Batteries Last In Arizona? A. Typically, if you live in hotter cities like Phoenix, Mesa, or San Tan Valley, you can anticipate your battery lasting approximately 2 to 3 years. Additionally, vehicles that remain unused for more than a few weeks tend to experience quicker battery depletion.

Q. Already Have A Battery? Need Help Installing It? Our Mobile Service Is Here To Help! A. We offer mobile battery installs, which is a convenient service for customers who already have their own car battery but need help installing it. Whether you don't have the right tools for the job or have a more complex vehicle to work on, trust that your new battery will be installed correctly, preventing any potential issues down the road.

Q. Can Someone Come And Replace My Car Battery At Home? A. When you need a mobile car battery replacement service that comes your home, parking garage or roadside, call Zonum Mobile Battery & Roadside Service. We can be reached at (480) 470-7080. How To Know When Your Car Battery Needs Replacement

  • Slow Engine Crank – If the engine takes longer to start or sounds weak when turning over, your battery may be losing power.

  • Clicking Sound When Starting – A repeated “click-click-click” often means the battery doesn’t have enough charge to start the engine.

  • Dim or Flickering Lights – Headlights, dashboard lights, or interior lights that seem weak can be a sign your battery is struggling.

  • Electrical Issues – Power windows, radio, or AC working slower than usual may indicate low battery voltage.

  • Battery Warning Light On – If the battery icon lights up on your dashboard, it’s a clear sign to get it tested right away.

  • Corrosion on Battery Terminals – White, blue, or green buildup around the battery posts can weaken connections and reduce battery life.

  • Swollen or Misshaped Battery Case – Heat or internal damage can cause the case to bulge, meaning replacement is needed immediately.

  • Old Age (3–5 Years) – Most car batteries last 3–5 years. If yours is in that range or older, it’s smart to test or replace it before it fails.

  • Frequent Jump Starts Needed – If you’re having to jump start your car often, the battery is likely near the end of its life.

  • Unusual Odor – A strong sulfur or “rotten egg” smell from the battery area could mean it’s leaking and unsafe.

Tips To Make Your Car Battery Last Longer

  • Drive Regularly – Short trips or leaving your car parked for weeks can drain the battery. Take it for a longer drive occasionally to recharge it.

  • Turn Off Electronics Before Shutting Off the Engine – Lights, radio, and AC can pull extra power if left on when the engine is off.

  • Keep Battery Terminals Clean – Remove corrosion with a battery-safe cleaner or baking soda mix to maintain a strong connection.

  • Secure the Battery Properly – A loose battery can vibrate, damaging internal parts and shortening its life.

  • Avoid Extreme Heat or Cold When Possible – Park in the shade during hot days and in a garage during freezing weather to reduce stress on the battery.

  • Don’t Let Your Battery Fully Discharge – Leaving headlights or electronics on for too long can drain it completely, which shortens battery life.

  • Check Charging System Regularly – Make sure your alternator is working properly, as a weak charging system can harm the battery.

  • Use a Battery Maintainer for Storage – If you won’t drive for a while, a maintainer (trickle charger) keeps the battery charged without overcharging.

  • Limit Accessory Use While Idling – Heavy use of AC, stereo, or phone charging without the engine running can strain the battery.

  • Replace Old Batteries Before They Fail – Proactive replacement prevents strain on your vehicle’s electronics and saves you from being stranded.
